Chip in new ceramic basin

I have just had the bathroom completely redone and it is fully tiled.
The wash hand basin has a small chip in the bottom of it.
Is there any way of fixing it or do I need to buy a new basin and hope that the tiled wall isnt damaged taking the old one off and putting a new one on.
The chip is small but deep (it looks like something with a sharp corner has been dropped on it but both me and OH dont remember dropping something on it and nothing in the bathroom is that shape) but one thing we are agreed on it is it was perfect up until last week (not something that the builders have done when fitting it.
