B.T. Have they deliberately misled me?

I have my line rental with BT whilst for years I have happily paid Sky £5 a month for unlimited UK calls (plus calls to 20 other countries). What with the BT line charges being increased to £13.90 I decided to switch the line rental over to Sky (£11.25). After a phone conversation with BT they offered drop the line rental to £10.60! All I would need to do they said was to agree to taking the evening and weekend call package for £3 and then they could give me a £3 discount on the call package and a further £3 on the line rental. Mystifying I know but we all know BT are weird. I stated quite clearly I had no intention of abandoning my Sky package because of the obvious benefits to me but they assured me that there would be no change to that and that all my calls would still be under the Sky umbrella. They stated that the evening and weekend signup/discounts was purely an internal mechanism to enable them to offer the line discount and would not be a disadvantage to me and would in fact save me money. Subsequently I have started to have doubts about the truth of their statements and am concerned that they will try and charge for daytime calls and calls abroad. Anyone had this? I can ill afford to start paying any more for calls.

If you Sky Talk Unlimited is active on your line, you cannot make calls on BT (despite having BT line rental and regardless of what BT calls plan you are - nominally - on).

Only if BT take your calls back can that happen and I'd imagine Sky would contact you if BT tries to do that.

IIRC to continue having the discounted BT rate on your line you have to make a minimum number of calls via BT.
I'm not sure how you do this with Sky Talk on your line.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

You can't (Sky uses WCLI and that overrides CPS).

Thank you for the quick responses, it has put my mind at rest but I will still contact BT and Sky tomorrow once they are back working to make 100% certain. Wished I'd posted earlier so that it hadn't been on my mind over Easter when the BT office was closed. One thing I have caught BT out on was that they also said I could make 0870 and 0845 numbers for free but of course Sky will still charge me. Thanks again for the help.
