Is my new microwave defective?

I bought a Panasonic microwave, Inverter/Combination model last week and after I had microwaved some new potatoes, I wiped the condensation/steam off the inside of the door.
I then noticed that there was condensation/steam on the inner glass of the outer door where I couldn’t get to wipe it off. It cleared eventually but this never happened with my old Panasonic microwave, which was a similar model.
I've emailed Panasonic but haven’t heard anything yet. I don’t want to use it until I know whether it’s safe or not. Is the microwave defective?
Thanks.
