HAVE you got what it takes to write for the nation's No1 newspaper?
We launched our second Column Idol contest to find a talented writer aged 18 to 25 who will have a one-off column published in The Sun.
To enter, we want you to fill in the application form below and explain what you would like to write about and why you deserve the chance to have your work printed in The Sun.

1. The competition will run in The Sun newspaper on 19 April 2011 and on www.thesun.co.uk website from 18 April 2011 to 20 June 2011. Entries can be submitted via www.thesun.co.uk/columnidol or sent to Column Idol, The Sun, 3 Thomas Moore Square, London, E98 1XY.
2. Closing date for entries is midday 20 June 2011.
5. An eligible entrant must be an individual aged 18-25 years who resides in England or Wales and must submit a completed entry using the Application Form available at www.thesun.co.uk/columnidol or printed in The Sun newspaper so that it is received before the Closing Date. Employees of News Group Newspapers Limited (“NGN”), Media Trust and their associated, affiliated or subsidiary companies, and their families, agents, or anyone connected with this competition, including the third party promotional partners, are excluded from entering this competition.
10. All Finalists must be available to attend the workshop during the day on 5 July 2011 and the final panel in the afternoon or evening of 13 September 2011. Both sessions will be held in London at The Sun’s offices. All Finalists must be available to attend at least three mentoring sessions between 6 July 2011 and 2 September 2011 at a location to be confirmed. If a Finalist is unable to attend, the Promoters reserve the right to select an alternative eligible entrant as a Finalist.
23. The Promoter shall provide all Finalists with facilities whilst at The Sun to assist them in completing their tasks, including food and beverages when at The Sun’s London office. All reasonable travel and accommodation costs incurred by Finalists at the workshops and mentoring sessions shall be paid for by the Promoter, subject to prior agreement of the costs. All other costs shall be the responsibility of the Finalists.
