Now I've got less channels than before! And it's still breaking upOD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090

Did you use the reset button?
I found when I added my booster that I had to reset it and them do an auto search for the channels. I got them all then and much better reception.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Are the connectors on the coax on tightly, and if it has a thumbwheel to adjust the signal strength, is it turned up?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

I did reset as I was hoping for some music channels to show up. Instead I've lost the BBC channels and all the shopping ones.
Everything is tightly connected, no thumbwheel
Is it because I only have a scart between TV and freeview? All my cables have a male/female connectors but TV and freeview both need male connections. Should I get an adapter?

All cables are moulded. Aerial is on roof or in loft of top floor flat.OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090 -
I can't put them back the way they were, there was a VCR involved at that point. I need the plug for that for Christmas tree lights!
The coax lead from booster to freeview goes in to the only bit that it fixs: TV (the other one says aerial)
No coax leads between freeview and TV.
Not sure what you mean about the picture. Is it the bit to plug in the adapter?
Red light is on.
Thanks so much for trying to help meOD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090 -

The lead from the booster to the Freeview box needs to go in the aerial
socket.
If all else fails, forget the Freeview for tonight, plug the aerial intothe TV and watch the X Factor on good ol' fashioned analogue ITV!0 -

So, I need to buy a lead with the same on each end? Oh jeez, I'm building quite a collection of various leads!
Analogue it is for tonight!OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090 -
IMHO Aerial boosters rarely work for what you want them to do...that is,improve a weak signal...They are really designed to send a good signal further around the house.......In simple terms,if your radio sound is all crackly, then, turning up the volume does not improve the sound quality, you only increase the good with the bad...30 years in the trade, but i still can be wrong..................................Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0

Thanks albert.
antenna - Only cost me £7.99 so worth a try. The person who recommended it has one and it worked for him. If it doesn't, do you have any suggestions on how to improve my picture? It breaks up quite badly.OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090
