aw Rups, friend of mine and I were due on the same day, except i lost my baby.
She now has a gorgeous 17 year old girl and i have a little cry every year on her birthday, you never get over it, you just get experienced in coping better - but i'm sure lots of people have told you that anyway.
homeward bound now to see what the H2B has sorted for tea, and first weigh in tomorrow to see what i really need to lose. When you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle.
:whistle:0 -

Hi all...wow, this thread moves fast!
I am feeling quite disgruntled...you may remember I was off work for ages with a damaged nerve in my head causing severe pain (part of why I've gained weight, being absolutely inactive and comfort eating) anyway I was meant to go back part time this week and I did, up until yesterday. I was struggling lots but still doing it, but work noticed and they said they thought I should take another week
And then of course the announcement comes that we are having OFSTED next week - so I guess they were doing me a favour by saving me that stress, but just couldn't tell me that at the time because they hadn't announced the visit to everyone yet.
So I'm back at home which I HATE. On top of that, when I went to the GP yesterday to get signed off again (won't be seeing my neurologist for a few weeks) I mentioned something minor that has been bothering me a bit - a weird sort of fatty lump at the top of my back (hugely unattractive). That coupled with the fact that I've gained weight recently has meant the GP sent me for tests for Cushing's SyndromeShould hopefully get the results tomorrow.
I just feel so rubbish and 'why me'?! This head nerve thing has been absolutely horrendous - and I'm finally starting to get better - and then work send me away again (I know they are only thinking of my health, but I really want to be there) - and then possibly I have something else wrong with me?!
Wow I don't even know why I'm putting all this on this thread as it's not exactly wedding diet related...sorryWell, let's say it is diet related because it means once again I'm stuck at home with zero motivation to diet.
On the (sort of) plus side, I have managed to do 30 mins exercise twice this week (an achievement after being absolutely sedentary - literally, not even doing so much as walking round the supermarket - for 6 weeks) and I will do it again tomorrow morning.
I just really want to be healthy and well and pain-free and properly back at work and back to normalI'm sure it's the same in lots of jobs but as anyone who's a teacher will know, being off sick is so stressful, and it's horrible when you go back. It doesn't help that fiance has been in the US on business since Sunday. He gets back on Saturday.
All in all feeling very sorry for myself and somehow don't feel like there's anywhere else to vent....sorry sorry sorry for hijacking the thread0 -
Oh Rups your dentist sounds rubbish. Try not to worry about emotions getting the best of you at times. It happens to us all and you have been through a lot. I know it is easy for me to say but try and stay positive. Think of all the brilliant things you have
Well done on the weight loss giddy!
My afternoon was fairly busy at work. I had a couple of chocs from downstairs but fingers crossed for the morning. I really hope I have lost. Feel I should have done but that doesn't necessarily mean I will have!0 -
hey,
I've been loving my new treadmill (even if it takes up loads of room) and in the last 2 days burnt 1700 calories on it.
Now I'm wondering if I pushed my exercise too hard because I feel really ill today(I still was trying to work out whether I could go on it or not though).
Weigh in tomorrow and I hope the exercise did something.0 -
Ow I'm still aching!
Had a good workout, and i was starving, so I have just wolfed down soup and a roll! (and 2 Jaffa cakes....)
Still under my cal allowance though!Fingers crossed for weigh in tomorrow!
:T0 -
Sounds like you need to treat yourself Daisie, try and stay positive, it's hard when you're ill I know. But you've managed to do 30mins exercise x2, that's a massive achievement.
You'll be back at work soon I'm sure and glad you missed Ofsted!
Jo, how many calories are in a Jaffa cake? I love them so much! Not sure I can trust myself not to eat the entire box if I buy them though.
Olokia, that's a massive amount of calories on your treadmill! Hope the scales show the results for you.
I feel like it should be Friday already today, don't want to set my alarm for another day in work.Debt at 1/5/09 £21,996 _pale_

43 calories in each Jaffa cake!
I really hope my goodness shows on the scales tomorrow! I also agree it should be Friday already!
Stay positive Daisi!:T0
