I was looking at ones like that lovecake. I really like them. But this was a bargin not to be missed! I also need a long / three quarter lace bolero or something. Not necessarily to hide arms, I will just freeze (I am a cold person) in October without it!
Yours looks lovely Code, it must be nice to have that kind of response! I haven't tried it on infront of anybody yet! It doesn't fit properly yet!:T0 -
Definitely. It'll be interesting to see you lot in real life.
As long as you promise not to laugh at me hiding my arms under my veil or doing muscle man poses. Hehehe. Or the fact that every photo ever taken of me makes me look a bit specialEu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Ha ha- don't worry code, mine will look like that too! U will have to wait a while for mine tho.....:T0

Glad you're getting excited again about your dress, code. You haven't got long to go, so hopefully you can enjoy the final preparations.
I'm getting a lace bolero made with the same beaded lace as my dress, for bingo wing camouflage!
I'm sure it would go with a veil - look at Kate Middleton: her sleeved dress kind of acted like a bolero would and she had a veil.
Ooh, the thread's jumped on since I started writing this - pesky work. Jo and code I love, love, love your dresses!
This is my one: I don't mind posting a pic as my OH wouldn't venture in here. Sorry about the large pic sizes:0 -
Oh wow! R u getting the bolero made from the same place as the dress? I don't know where to go for mine... (dress 2nd hand from eBay.):T0

It looks so much better with the straps, although I seem to be the only person in the whole world who has worn them. My mum has seen me in the dress 4 times so far and cried 3 times.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Aw thanks ladies! I love it - am just hoping it's as nice in real life.
Yep jo, I contacted the seamstress and agreed a price for her to make me a bolero with the same fabric. I also got her to swap out one of the embellishments on the fabric (white-ish sequins) with Swarovski crystals for cost price. She's been brilliant actually.
Not sure what to suggest about matching your dress to a bolero - unless you went quite simple like this one?0 -
I am thinking I might contact the people who make the dress. They make a short bolero which I have, just need a longer one! Or try the person who I am going to have to get to adjust the dress. No idea how much it would cost tho! Unless it's stupid money should still be under budget on the dress.:T0
