Does anyone know what happens if the amount of time stated for your probabtion period ends but the reiview mentioned in the contract isn't carried out? This has happened to me and I wonder if that means I'm still on probation? Neither the probation period ending or the review have been mentioned.

There are no benefits for me once I'm off probation, but once off probation I must give four weeks notice if I leave (while on probation I must only give one week's notice)

There is clear case on this - if no review has been held before the end of the probationary period the law deems it to have been passed. Congratulations - you now have to give four weeks notice!

i told someone i used to work with and someone whos dad owned his own business that the above was how contracts were done but some reason it fell on deaf ears. The 1 who I worked with seemed to think and still does that because he didnt sign a new contract stating the new terms eg having to give 4 weeks notice(but its irrelevant as es left now). The 1 who's dad owned his own business even said it was rubbish but im a bit secptical on that as i dotn know if he asked his dad.

Well since they are both wrong it doesn't really matter.
