I'm sorry to say that what this probably means is that they drove past and decided they didn't like the look of the house or the area after all. So instead of having the courtesy of going through with the viewing they just went home.

Its inconsiderate and selfish but I am afraid that all too many people do it nowadays.

    Cheers

We did a viewing recently where before knocking on the door we'd decided we weren't interested at all, but it's not in my nature to be rude enough to cancel the viewing at 5 minutes notice or do a no show so we went and wasted half an hour of our and the vendors time. I guess in some ways it's better to do a no show.

Do find it interesting that some people go to such lengths to tidy up and 'prepare' for viewings, the houses I've been most interested in were the ones where things hadn't been tidied up that much and the sellers were honest about stuff ('we meant to fix this but never got round to it', 'yeah that looks good but actually the novelty wears off').

IMO anyone who books a viewing on a Sunday usually just wants to go round a house (any house) but is too tight to pay to visit a National Trust place ...

I find comments like this strange. I have done viewings on Sundays a few times. My partner works away all week and I work some Saturdays therefore Sunday is the only day that both of us can view together. I don't see what is so 'strange' about that! I expect that there are a lot of people in similar situations

We had two no-shows on our house. The first rang the EA at 4.30pm on Friday asking for a Saturday viewing which I agreed for 11am. Then the EA tried to ring them back at 4.45pm and couldn't get hold of them. Never heard from them again.

The second arranged a viewing for 3pm Sunday but then I got a phone call at 2.45pm saying her husband had been called into work and she couldn't get down on her own because she was on crutches. Again never heard back.

We only had two other viewers besides those and both put in offers.
