lux and imperial leather soap are the smells that remind me of being a child, hardly ever see lux in the shops now but I love the smell. i recently stayed in a hotel and lux was the soap in the bathroom so I brought it home to use.
nan used to have lifebouy soap at the kirchen sink, and used to say it was washing soap !!!
I still put nice smelling soap amongst towels and in underwear drawer but have a combi so no longer have an airing cupboard0
