The cable attached to my converter is a 4 core, the colours are brown,red,yellow and green.
This is contrary to current standards which are;
(2) blue with white ring
(3) orange with white ring
(4) white with orange ring
(5) white with blue ring
Please can someone advise me which terminals my wires go to ?

Links to product description for your converter? This looks as though it might be non standard to the point that I would suggest throwing it out. *white/blue = 5= red.
*orange/white = 3 = yellow.
* these are the only two terminals/colors/wires you need.
