hiya, might be a good idea to have the site put on velvetgloves comping guide for sites that don't want thier comps posted..



4 Do any sites not want their comps/answers posted?

I can understand why you might not want entries from people not located locally, but this thread when I posted this had only 18 'Thanks' and 169 'Views' and 'hundreds' suggests multiple hundreds, so 200+, unless most of the people entering are entering for more than one person, this site can't account for all of the entries, are you sure they all originate from here?

loads of lurkers that don't sign in/log in on mse bhg,
they enter the comps without having to log in, once a while ago i'd contacted one of the magazines due to some error & they told me they'd had thousands of entries, lots don't thank & the views are misleading figures,
but they get to enter them

True, although I thought the 'View' count was everyone and not just people logged in? However it's just jumped up to 294, but I would have thought most of those views were post 12.30 when this was bumped back up to the top and before the OP was updated as I can't imagine the view count not having changed since yesterday?

Even so, if the entries don't originate from here, the Editor may want to investigate where the rest came from incase the competition needs removing from another competition website

Yep that's how I read it unless there was more in the message???
