Good Morning my internet went down last night for some reason, so I started knitting a scarf.

I was all rearing to go to have a go at the blog and website too :) never mind, does anyone mind having a look at what I have done so far?? I'm not very good at writing I'm afraid so not sure what I'm supposed to write.

Meeting mum a bit so best dash and get dressed.

Where is it? Have you posted yet or you have drafts? If the latter I don't mind having a look later - am tired and grumpy though (which is good for the quality of the text but not for you).

Trying to tear myself away from the net and get some work done here (not very successfully).. so just had a quick read though. Sending big positive huggy vibes out as it seems like a few need them this morning.

I'm a little grumpy as didn't even get an interview for the job I applied for, and am generally feeling run down and, well, grumpy. Had a really good appraisal at work on Friday though, so trying to put positive head on and make the most of things as they are.

  • Sorry you're all grumpy!

I finally feel better. No more pain or such like. A success to the antibiotics there I think.

I started to decorate bedroom on Saturday and managed to blow the house up. Sounds more dramatic than reality mind - I got some water in a socket and blew the circuit. Sadly, the electrics are old, so sthe whole lot is b******d!

Have managed to get an extension lead into the cooker socket and the fridge, freezer and broadband are running off that. I have priorities! Electrician is coming tonight.

I am also getting another lot of quotes for refined bathroom plans. I will post pics when I feel intelligent enough.

And there was me thinking I could go on holiday this autumn., Think I might be having the house rewired!

Now, 5 days of hard work will get year end done. Whoop!

    Try and smile :)

:eek:TMIF - hope you didn't get a full on shock at the same time but glad to see that you have your priorities right. Dont give up on the idea of a holiday. How about housesitting for somebody (getting paid to have a holiday) somewhere.

Claire, I would suggest reading a few crafty blogs as a bit of research. Also look up Nikki Pilkington 30 day blogging on facebook as you can sign up to 30 days worth of tips on how to get going on the blog. You are good at writing because you write on here. You just need to think about what you want to write about. Why not start by posting some pictures with a few words to describe how you did a piece of jewellery for instance. The craft blogs that I have read tend to be more about chatty things with a few craft descriptions thrown in. See it as a diary to start with and build it up slowly. Don't put pressure on yourself either.

I have seen a fantastic job advertised in Austria (30 minutes away from my house). It is the job that I dreamed of doing when I left school. So why am I hesitating?

Nerves, excitement, pure terror ??? Deep breathes Cheri and let it flow.

Good luck for this afternoon Souk.

Robsmum you have my sympathy, toothache is just the worse ((Hugs)). I've had "proper" toothache twice - the first time there was no answer but to take the tooth out; the second I need a root canal filling where they couldn't find the third canal, so even now it gives me sleepless nights.

Well an exciting day of cleaning here today - best get on with it hadn't I :p.

Cheri how exciting. Go for it. Whats the worst that can happen? You apply and dont get it? At least you'll have applied.

Gym done so a bit more pottering here then I'll get ready. Just read through all my interview prep stuff again and all looks like it is pretty standard. At least now that Ive been here for 3 and a half years they no longer tend to ask if I'm planning to head back to the sun anytime soon! X

Hey, as you know I've applied for JSA recently but I did it online and I've been waiting for a phone call back. They rang once at 8am on a day I said I wasn't available so I couldn't answer the phone. It's been a couple of weeks now so do I do the online thingy again or do I ring them and apply that way?

Oh and I can't go to the Princes Trust meeting thingy now as I have to stay in to look after the dog. The only other person who can do this is without a car for a few weeks so I'm staying at home a couple of days longer. I've worked it out that I'd need around £170 to start my dog walking business up so I'll carry on looking for a job and do the dog walking part time for now. When I'm able to I'm transferring it to Wolverhampton too :)

Cheri, feel the fear and do it anyway! Get your application in.

Redsquirrel - an even better job will be coming up for you, it's on its way!

I've managed to start a lot of things this morning but not been able to finish them as I'm waiting for people to call back. I don't think I want to start any more big things as I don't want to get bogged down and confused so will do some 15 min houseworky things instead.

    Afternoon all

Greenbee, I hope all goes well at the hospital today

Robsmum I hope you got on well at the dentist

Souk - well done on the weightloss and good luck with your interview

Boring chores and tasks so far today but I've been very disciplined so I'm getting a long well with them. Just finishing lunch and then I'll crack on with a few more.

My ebay items I forced myself to list last week all sold, 2 payments received so I'll get them packaged too and will post them tomorrow when I go into town.

Ebay sales! Good for you, dustykitten (love that name, by the way). I've always been very, very slow at ebay, tho it has built up over the years.

Just a note to all: I picked blackberries yesterday! Not many, but they're starting :)
