KK, well done for not letting your dad get to you - but very important to remember OH isn't psychic! :rotfl: Have you been contacting him?? Sometimes two halves of a couple sit in their respective houses getting annoyed because the other one hasn't called them, but not calling themselves.... Sounds like a good idea to get out in the sunshine! :T
Well exercised Crickett! :T :T
My friend has cancelled our meeting this afternoon, so I've got the whole rest of the day free :T :T So... what to do???0 -
Afternoon lovelies.
It's my weekend off work and I'm doing not a lot today as have had something on after work every night this week and work is VERY busy so time out is lovely. Going to a friends for dinner tonight though with the gays which will be fun. Need to do a bit of food shopping at some point and then get on with the meal plan.
Crickett, hugs re the weight loss stuff. I'm with the others on measuring something other than lb's and definetely dont do it every week. This is a long term change lovely and will have it's ups and downs but your head is in the right place and thats a huge thing. While you do it, and while you wait for Baby Crickett remember to have good times too and try not to feel life is on hold. X
Fantasia, sorry you've felt so rubbish but glad you're on the mend.
Hugs to all. X'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
MG! Did you get on your hands and knees and scrub your carpets?? What did you use??? My kitchen carpet/giant rug thing is absolutely filthy, hasn't been cleaned for 20 years (ie never) and I want to sort it out! I've got a scrubbing brush
but what to use with it?? Vinegar??? ordinary washing up liquid?? Absolutely no idea! Can't take it outside and soak it - far too big and heavy and the garden's not big enough to contain it....
Have tried old style board, lots about carpet cleaners but I'm not winning on the hand scrubbing method!0 -
Friend not coming round cos little one is poorly
So have put washing out, done big food shop and am now munching my way through 27 of my 5 a day in a huge plate of homemade salady/fruity stuff.
Plan to let kids play till it cools down a bit and then go to local strawberry pick your own to see if they are open (were closed every time we tried last year!) then off to play mini golf once sun has sunk in the sky, then Doctor Who.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Forking Freezing at the Gala - lasted as long as we could, gave DS2 a couple of rides on the teapots, watched the BMX'ers and the Falconer .................. then snuck home to have a party on the carpet with our Gala Bags (Sausage roll, crisps, water, sweeties, apple, orange and cake all donated by local businesses)
I have never been so grateful to hear my kettle boil in my whole life:D
Well done fantasia, but get a wiggle on Parsnip we are dying to meet the wee sprout.
