a few years ago i bought a cheap Navigo sat nav from ebuyer then used a forum i heard about here to change the software to Tom Tom.
I dont have the link saved for the forum and cant remember the name, tried a search with no luck.
Can anyone remember/know the name of this forum which made as a "homebrew" type forum to allow users to update sat nav software easily.
thanks

Yes, pctailor became simplesatnav but it then got shut down following a legal challenge by tomtom. There is a Wiki page but it's quite a bit out of date now. http://navigo.wikispaces.com/0

My 2p'th for the thread.
I've got the same or similar Navigo.
I gave up trying to update the maps.
I had too much trouble trying to activate them.
In the end I managed to find a copy of iGo8 and recent maps.
Seems okay but the user interface is quite different and mine
doesn't have speed camera data.
Best thing is it doesn't need activating.
I got them via links on gpsunderground but they keep changing.0
