Has anyone found a good cheap stain remover??? I've tried Vanish, Oxy whatsit, cheapo brands and nothing seems to work. I have 2 children under 4 who both go to nursery and no matter how many bibs I send with them they always end up covered in something or other!!!
Any ideas greatly recieved.
Whites and coloureds!!
Just a thought.....will Stardrops do this????;)

These might help in a general way...
For some general advice on cleaning garment stains, by Nile,

And for useful information on Washing powders, again by Nile,

And then if they don't quite get everything there are plenty of threads in the Cleaning section of the MEGA Index sticky listed under "clothes" that deal with quite a few specific stains.

Hi, I use saver cheap washing up liquid neat on most stains, and find that works most of the time, for thing it doesnt work on, I find its trial and error with stuff like Vanish and Ace, which are obviously more expensive.

I swear by Napisan. Stains can be soaked for upto 24 hours, not had anything yet that it couldn't shift, and my 4 year old comes home covered in all sorts.
Don't be alarmed if items turn blue, when they are washed in the machine afterwards the blue colour goes.:hello:0 -
I used to always use napisan, still do now occasionally, used to use terry nappies so always had it in, great stuff. Might have to buy some more this week as DP has got something 'black' on a top I just bought him which happens to be white! One day I might be more organised...........
