Hi, ran out of money and most food and will be paid on 28th (so 5 days)
Food I have
Flour, sugar, baking powder, loads of spices, soy sauce, chilli sauce, stock cubes etc.
loads and loads of rice
200g pasta
2 frozen chicken breasts
small tin green beans
1 apple
1/4 jar pesto
handful of frozen mixed veg
Could anyone suggest any meal ideas?
I was thinking I could make a sort of curry with the green beans and spices, and some chapattis from flour - tea for one night
pasta and pesto for tea another night
rice and soy sauce for a couple of nights
chicken breast and frozen veg another night
Thanks!!
When I'm paid I must remember to buy some frozen veg for cases like this!

Do you have any other food, for breakfast and lunch?:heartpulsSpoiling my two baby girls with love - it's free and it's fun!:heartpuls
I'm not very good at succinct. Why say something in 10 words when 100 will do?

Found enough frozen veg to make a soup, and some homemade soup in freezer, will do for a couple of lunches.
Enough rice for another couple of lunches.
Could cut the apple into 5 and that will do 5 breakfasts haha :P0 -
I'd split the chicken breasts up rather than having them all one night. Spread them out and even a bit of protein and you'll feel more like you've had a 'proper' meal

You could make fried rice with half a chicken breast and the frozen veg.
The same another night with the green beans and the other half of the chicken breast.
Grilled chicken breast with plain rice.
Pasta with pesto.
Can you invite yourself round to dinner anywhere for the last night?Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Thanks everyone

I'll cut up the chicken breasts (they're very big). I'm sure I'll be able to beg borrow and steal some other bits and bobs aswell. Hopefully will be paid a day early again (has happened the past few times), but not going to get my hopes up! Thanks again everyone0 -
i wouldn't be surprised if you got paid early as i know some employers who've already actioned payroll due to the short time between the 2 bank hol weekends.
whereabouts in the country are you and are you out out of money or is there some buckshot we can plan with? One of the hardest of all life lessons is this:
Just because I feel bad doesn’t necessarily mean someone else is doing something wrong.
Just because I feel good doesn’t necessarily mean what I am doing is right.0 -
Have you done the sofa diving, checked the handbags and jacket pockets? I found a fiver in my winter coat last week I didn't know about - a couple of quid qould get you some eggs or a bag of porridge and some milk for breakfast. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

If you can get some eggs, then you can make egg-fried-rice.0

first of all check out every coat pocket ,handbag and down the cushions. What are you doing for breakfast? Can you go to a friends and beg some toast? or can you go to a family member and beg some meals? Do you have a credit card? if so buy some groceries on it,or go and get some food and pay by cheque, surely by the time its gone through you will have been paid? Or get a mate to give you £20 and write out a cheque to them to be paid in next week.0

Do you have any oil or marg or butter? If so you can make pancakes with the sugar, flour, baking powder and some water to have for breakfast. Add in the chopped up apple to make them extra nice and some cinnamon if you have any. You can also have them without sugar/apple/spices as a bread accompaniment to your soup and your dinners.0
