A wetroom can look fantastic with a little bit of planning and imagination and as you state are also extremly practical for the elderly and even small children.
If fitted properly and waterproofed leaks need not be a issue either. I fitted mine two years ago and have never had a problem.0 -
I would go for a wet room. My local sports pavilion had theirs re-done recently and it looks amazing! It is slip resistant and ever so slightly tilted so the water goes towards the drain so no worries about getting wet feet.
The company they used was Ryebrook Resin Floors, have a look and good luck with choosing0 -
The main advantage a shower tray and surrounding cubicle has is that it is warmer. We have a wet room which has a sheet of glass to separate it from the toilet and a slow level shower tray and cubicle in another bathroom. I much prefer the cubicle.0
