Connecting Wii to Samsung P2470

I've recently bought a nice new monitor, Samung P2470HD and I just tried setting up my Wii. For some reason the display is black & white and a bit fuzzy.
I've got it connected in the standard way, original Wii cables plugged into the back of the monitor, sound is fine but it's just the picture.
I plugged the Wii into my living room Sony and it was fine, that was using my other Wii cables, so I'll try swapping the cables over to see if that makes a difference. Wanted to ask here if anyone else had noticed a similar problem, I know the Sammy is a popular monitor.
