My OH has just been transferred from the WRAG to the Support Group.

I would really like to find out how long it will be before he is recalled by ATOS for a further medical. Do you think that the DWP advise ATOS when a personal is transferred for them to adjust their records accordingly?

Would it be in order for me to telehone DWP and/or ATOS to ask this question?

He has already attended two ATOS medical assessments in the past 8 months and on the last medical report it did mention another in 6 months.

Surely ATOS just keep recalling people to make money out of them? I think I read somewhere that it costs quite a lot for each assessment they do.

My OH's condition is not going to change, which is why I appealed and thankfully he has been transferred into the Supoprt group.

I haven't a clue, sorry. i agree about wasting time and money making people have repeat medicals. My ex is still on incapacity benefit and hasn't been seen for years.

He should be tested. He can sit in the pub all day, so why can't he work ?

If the medical report says 6 months, expect another assessment in 6 months most likely.

    If not before....

Saying that though the final decision is down to the decision maker, you may get a decent one, you may not...

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

Yes but the report said 6 months before we appealed, so I just want to make sure that ATOS are aware that things have changed.

I think I will probably try phoning the DWP first and try and get a definitive answer from them and make sure that ATOS know the outcome.

I would not be suprised if they pull you in quite soon then, unless the tribunal set a longer date? Did the tribunal state anything about re-assessment dates or similar?
