Are car boots open on Easter Sunday?

Hi, just a quick question.
I want to go to a car boot sale for the first time in my life (!!) tomorrow. I have found two in my area that looks good, but there is no infomation on whether they are open or closed on Easter Sunday. One say open every Sunday, and the other one, well, doesn't have any up to date info.
I would be greateful if anyone could tell me whether car boots are generally open on Easter Sunday or whether they are restricted to the same shop opening laws? Thank you

My local car boot sale is on tomorrow. I don't know if it's the same in the rest of the country. If you do a search online for the sales you want to go to, you might find a number to contact to ask them?
Good luck, and if you're buying - try to haggle, especially late in the morning. If you're selling - don't let the buyers haggle too much Basically set a price you're happy to accept. When people ask how much, add 50p/£1 on the price you want to accept. Then you can allow for a bit of haggling. Many Brits (esp the older generation) are reluctant to haggle. Bring lots of change and carrier bags. Pack a lunch and drinks, as they can be expensive on-site. Have fun!

Thank you very much for such a speedy reply
I'm buying! I've been saving my change and £5 notes in preparation (that sounds sad when written down...). So would you say haggling by 20p-50p quite reasonable? (obviously not if the orignal price is 20p!!!).0 -

If you see something you like, ask the price. If it's more than you'd like to pay, ask if the seller would accept less. Say you're looking at a vase. Seller says they want £2 for it. You say "would you accept £1.50?". If the seller declines, say you'll have to think about it and walk away.
If I (as a seller) see someone looking with keen interest at a specific item, I'm less likely to go down much in price. Polite and friendly people have the best chance of me knocking the price down. This might sound obvious, but there's an amazing amount of people who will more or less shout "50p!". Ehm, no. Last weekend, I had some chaps who made 2 phone calls, a lot of ohm-ing and ah-ing (about 10 mins!) trying to decide whether to pay 50p/each for some energy saving lightbulbs. It did make me giggle, though. I didn't think choosing lightbulbs would be such a life-changing decision, lol.
Enjoy and have a giggle. If it's a big car boot sale, it'll be very busy and can seem intimidating. Go at your own pace, enjoy the sun ( if it's out) and take regular breaks.Call me what you like, I was a bit "tiddly" when I chose my username

Most car boots would be on tomorrow I think, but see if you can check your local paper online. Some near us, which close over the winter, open for the first time on Easter Sunday, then again on the Monday. Many seem to open bank hol Mondays. Enjoy!! The only problem is, you will never want to pay full price for anything ever again once you get the bug!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

I already don't like paying full prices for things!! (I love charity shops)
Thank you so much for all your advice! I am so excited. I am packing breakfast and lunch with a flask of coffee in a backpack. Got my walking boots and sunhat at the ready.... I shall remember to put my killer smile on and try to be chatty with the stall holders.0 -
Ours is open here in North Lincolnshire, business as usual. I won't be going because I went last week and got some fab bargains. Good luck.

Wow I'm surprised any are open TBQH. I thought Easter Sunday and Christmas Day were the two days where trading is precluded under the Sunday Trading Act of 1994....do car boots follow different trading laws then? That's very interesting....But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0
