Hi folks,
Never posted on the motoring thread before, but require some information. I've seen a car at a good price from Motorhouse. Spoke to an advisor yesterday who informed that you get a 3 month warranty, but having looked on the website there is no mention of this. I am aware there is a 6 month implied warranty under the sale of goods act, but wouldn't want the hassle as I'm in Northern Ireland. Has anyone dealt with this company and if so, what was there experience and what are the cars like. My last car was purchased from Autoquake and it's been excellent, but these guys have got some pretty bad reviews from some customers.
Thanks in advance of any knowledge

If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

I bought my last car from them when it was a year old. My parents also bought a car from them in 2002 and never had any problems.0 -
I have, but over a decade ago.
They've changed ownership a few times since then, but I've heard nothing bad about them. They seemed a bit dear compared to others, Hilton Garage in the area are ok as well.0 -
Thanks for the replies. I'll keep you posted and will consider other cars around the area, as if I don't buy this one, I'll buy one from elsewhere. If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Then you should take some heed. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
I know quite a few people who have bought vehicles from Motorhouse in Cannock, including myself. On the whole most people have had good deals. I had a very bad experience with them and had to return a car I'd bought from them as it turned out to be unfit for the road.
While I wouldn't put anybody off from buying from them, I would advise anyone buying a car from there to get it thoroughly checked out by someone experienced with cars. We thought we knew what to look for but not on this occasion.0
