Hi all, I sent off my forms for two Halifax loans that I believe I was missold PPI with I received a very prompt response from them saying that they would look at resolving the complaint as soon as possible. How long do I give them now before I make more contact?

They have 8 weeks in total, although they may write to ask for more time if a decision cannot be made by that 8 weeks timescale.

I wasn't sure if that acknowledgement counted as a response but I suppose it wasn't actually telling me anything useful. I do hope I'm successful, if I am it'll pay off the loan and i'll be free!!0

Hi, we started ours last october and had responses back within 8 weeks however due to the court case they responded again in late december saying there will be a delay, now the court case has ruled against the banks last week, I have rang Halifax this morning to see where they are up to with ours. They state to ring again in 2 weeks after an appeal has been placed to the courts and they will be more clearer to what the processes are but they have looked at my case and it is still ongoing. I asked why some people have started there complaints after ours and recieved payment, she states every case is different.

I understand they had until 10 May to decide if they were going to appeal - which they are considering.
But not came across anything on the banks website yet, only about the outcome of the JR from last week.
They have not then updated the website then as they previously stated, only about the outcome of last week - but nothing confirming the appeal, but its highly likely they will anyway.
