They both have their place in an Os'ers library I think. I have both, am currently reading TWG, but I bought M-w-L a while ago and its really come into its own now that I'm cooking for myself - even more so when I join the grocery/storecupboard challenges next year.
Glendam - you want 'The complete Tightwad Gazette' - it has all three books in it, and a few extra bits as well (currently £9.53 at amazon)We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

I would love to know how her kids turned out, whether they are real consumers now or follow their mother,s tightwad ways. Lets face it she must have made a mint with that book.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

It took me months to read the TWG and I felt quite sad when I finished it. I too would love to know how they all are.0 -

I got the newsletters sent over from America every month, it used to be great when they were delivered, it was 2 A4 sheets printed on both sides, when she stoppped writing them she said that she'd do an annual family newsletter that you could request every year. I sent for about 3 or 4 of them by putting $2 in an envelope with my address, the last was about 5 years ago....maybe she's still doing them, I'll get the address if any one is interested0 -
I know there's a website, my american penpal sent me the link.
