Praise for the BBC... Can anyone help?

The BBC did a live recording about 5 years ago called The Manchester Passion which told the story of Easter through the music of bands from Manchester. I can't get hold of it anywhere and in my opinion it's one of the best things the BBC have ever done.

Does anyone know of anyone to contact at the BBC to try and get a copy of it on dvd as it's never been shown again and i'd love to see it again.

If you look at the FAQ on the BBC site there is a link to enquire about copies of programmes. But unless you took part in the programme they will be unable to help. (Due to time and rights issues)

I guess it's the rights issues which are the reason it hasn't been released commercially.

sometimes you might be lucky and find it on youtube

I doubt you can find a free copy, but you may be able to pay for one - the costs will be rather high though as they'll have to reclear all the performances and publishing rights. In honesty, you're probably better off petitioning them to re-show the programme one day!

What a disgusting example of the anti-Christian prejudice that is all too rife! The OP rightly comes to this section to Praise Our Saviour and you have the vulgarity to think a Passion is a commodity more fitted to be purchased!

Most beaks, and I've met more than my fair share over the years, would turn a blind eye if the OP borrows herself a copy of BBC Songs of Praise or whatever crap it was.
