Barclaycard Platinum Offer Letter... Accepted !!!

I previously had a thread regarding a letter from Barclaycard offering a Barclaycard Platinum... 'Guaranteed !!' all I had to do was sign it and send it back within 2 weeks..
I asked here if it was a circular etc...
Well having sent it back and waited patiently I have been emailed today that I have been successful...
A few questions I need answering please... with all the talk on here of Barclaycards being cancelled immediately after receiving them, does this case sound similar ??
Also I stated that I would be looking to do a balance transfer on my application... currently have 7500 on 2 different cards so will be looking to move some of this debt on to new card.... should my first action be the balance transfer to give me the best chance of this card not being cancelled like others have mentioned or am I now paranoid from all I have read...
Also thinking of ringing my current cards to see if they want to offer me a deal prior to moving the balance having read about existing cards offering new balance transfer deals...
Thanks in advance for any help.

Got same 'guarantee letter' back in Jan., filled out a very short application form and sent off. Card has worked fine so far...
Call them if you wish to get the BT sorted, if you're account is already set up and running.0
