Savings accounts for small charities

I'm Treasurer of a small charity. We have several thousand points which someone raised from a sponsored climb which we plan to put towards a capital project. We don't need the money just now but can't lock it away for a long period.
Interest rates on charity savings accounts are stingey - yet more evidence of bank rip offs. Does any of you MSE charity buffs out there know of comparison site for charity savings accounts and/or a decent home for short-ish term deposits of this nature paying more than pennies in interest?
I found a 7 day notice account with Scottish Widows Bank which pays 1.6% gross on balances between £500 and £49,999. Is this a "best buy" or has anyone found something better?
I hate it when they rip me off on interest rates. I really despise them when they rip off charities and the causes which they support. Corporate Social Responsibility? Yeah right !

I don't know how good that rate is, they're not good anywhere, to be fair, but the three places IMO to try are
Unity Trust
Triodos Bank
