Just wondering if anyone has ever tried to get CC companies to lower or freeze interest charges if your struggling with them....i am assuming not as they are making on it, we dont want to go down the route of going to CAB...would prefer to just try purselves first, theres only 2 cards to deal with, bith maxed out and now paying interest on.
thanks

Most card companies will talk to you when in financial difficulties - go over to the debt free wanabe board for more details - your first job is to draw up a detailed budget to work out how much you can afford to repay.

NB as soon as you talk to them the card will no longer be useable to use for new transactions and may affect your credit rating for the future.
