keeping a white long haired cat...white

I have 7 short haired coloured cats who I groom with no problems, however I am fostering a neighbours white long haired kitten for 6 weeks or so, while my neighbour is recuperating at her son´s after breaking her leg. The cat ´Chica¨ is staying at our house.
She lets me brush and comb her, but she is beginning to turn grey and grubby from playing outside with my cats. She is 6 mths old and has recently been neutered.
Does anyone have any tips on keeping Chica white?
Thanks
Sandy

She's having a lovely time playing with your lot, is cared for, well fed and groomed.
I wouldn't worry about her being a bit grey - when her owner is back and able to care for her again, perhaps she will decide to pop her into the bath or take her to a groomer's, but if not, it's not really a problem.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Baby wipes? I find them most useful for wiping dirty paws, or you can get the foam shampoo that you massage in then brush out. Altho I don't know if it would make her white again!
But like jojo says, she's being well looked after which is the most important thing xBe who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.0 -
I've had 3 pure white cats, one of who was long haired. They went through spells of looking greyish or yellowish (depending where they ahd been rolling) but always went back to white after a few days. I shouldn't worry too much, just keep as you are doing and brush little Chica when you can.
Be careful she doesn't burn her ears or nose as the sun gets stronger. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!

Thanks everyone, hadn´t thought of baby wipes. We live in Spain (where at the moment the weather is grim, not like in UK) I have Factor 30 for her ears. I´ve just given her a lovely brush and comb and she was looking like a little princess, then out she went and had a good roll in the dirt!!!!!!
