Credit Card Debt Clearance

in Credit cards
I was contacted by a company who claimed they can clear my credit card debts based on the consumer credit act of 1974.
Too good to be true, not quite, because research done on google and papers has shown these kind of claims can be won.
It says your account must have been opened before 2007 and must have a balance of 2K or so.
Has any one ever won this kind of claim. Is it for real?

yes but numerous documents such as one in the daily mail website state it is true, however it can take a long time.
They say you have to make minimum payments. SO if you pay a minimum £50 a month and say it takes them 4 months to process the claim and inform you. You will have paid £200 from your own pocket extra. Now if the claim is not successful then thats £200 on top of the existing balance.
Whereas you could pay off the debt as soon as possible and thus save £100 or more?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

They just phoned me too, tbh I was sceptical, when I asked them how they got my details, they said virgin credit cards passed it onto them, i hung up then, but perhaps I was too hasty0
