Cashplus Prepaid Account -- recommended?

My son wants to open an account with this card:

is it recommended? He's a student and has had problems with going overdrawn and getting charges that make him go even more into minus.
He thinks this might be the answer. Is it?

yes or a basic bank account where get cant go odDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Well this thread seems to show problems accessing it, otherwiese I can't comment. He certainly needs some kind of help if he's going overdrawn on a Co-Op cash minder account.0

The problem with the Co-Op is it does not show the balance in real-time with it's Cashminder account.
Only suggestion is maybe move the account to NatWest where it does update in real time and you can see after making a transaction how much really is left or keeping a running total and deduct this each time.
