fitting curtain hooks to pole rings

Hi

moving on from my other silly question about curtain poles...

a really embarrassing question but how do you fit this curtain hook to the curtain and pole ring...I've done upstairs curtains but they are not poles and different type of hooks

First you fit the curtain hook to the tape at the top of the curtain - push in the pointy end (upwards, i.e. from the bottom of the tape to the top) and then keep pushing so that it spirals over until the tape is sitting in the tight-U-bit of the hook, the pointy end is pointing down outside of the tape. Then feed the same pointy end into the loop at the bottom of the curtain ring, so that the loop of the curtain ring sits in the open-U-bit of the hook.

Sorry I can't explain it any better! I can't take a photo to demonstrate, don't have any curtain poles here.
