Faster Payments & Bank Holidays?

If I send a payment using faster payments today, will it be Tuesday before it reaches the destination account?
I know that FP is automated, but since today & Monday are bank holidays I wondered if the funds would still be credited as normal or delayed until the banks reopen?
Thanks

It depends on three things.
1) The sending bank.
2) The receiving bank.
3) The FP system reliability.
If any of those isn't playing ball, you aren't going to achieve a quick transfer.
I suspect (3) will be working fine but (1) and (2) could cause delays.0 -
Faster Payments does not know Bank Holidays or Weekends

As long as it does go by Faster Payments, it will be in the recipients account within 2 hours no matter when this is sent.
If any Bank Holidays/Weekends are due, it will still reach the account within 2 hours but may be post-dated to the next Banking Day though - Still should be able to use.David
£1 of debt is too much for me!0 -
I've never had problems using faster payments at weekends or holidays, though doubtless there will be some banks who have a reduced service.0
