When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :rotfl:

Morning All,

Today I have/will do:

• Meals from stores
• Read paper online
• Checked online banking
• Need to put pennies from purse into sealed pot and coke bottle
• Will have a LSD
• Fill in my food diary
• Drink plenty of water
• Take meds to sort out hormones!
• Chilled night in tonight
• Check the little seedlings and make sure they are happy
• Need to sort out the mess that is the material mountain!
• Going into town with mum later – our local fabric shop is having a 15% off discount day so might have to take advantage!

Think that is about it – I am sure there will be things I have forgotten.

Have a fabby one!

Morning Candy! Good to see I'm not the only one up on a day off work!

The dog has forgotten that its a day off and was bouncing on my head at 6am to go out! So we've been around the block and willl be off to the park soon to tire him out.

    • checked banking
    • read some miss minimalist & purged some old baking trays I don't need (have kept 1 roasting tray, 1 for muffins/yorkshires, 1 for pizzas, 1 bread tray & 1 for cakes  I think that should meet our needs?)

    Hello All,

I'm off today too but up early as I took my OH into work (cheaper than getting the bus with how close we are to his work).

Today I am doing the following:

    - looking for more items to sell (I am a little irritated that my money from PayPal did not come through as promised yesterday, so we are v tight for cash this weekend)
    - check my items closing today
    - check online banking
    - eat from stores
    - tackle the mountain of washing
    - do some surveys

    Have a good day all,

    Jules x

    Well....I have an announcement ....

    THE DECORATING IS FINISHED coffeebath.gif

    &

    EVERYTHING IS BACK

    (just about)

So yeah...catch up on the mess now. Might put some of the spare paint on freecycle (the opened stuff).....seems a good idea...

And last night I found my library book I'd paid for cos it went missing for months so DV tomorrow I get £17 back from the library when I return it :)

    So yeah I digress...

Today's agenda (that may/may not get done depending how hyper/tired I am)

    AM
    • Get milk (farm foods)
    • Tidy and clean kitchen
    • clean boys out

    PM
    • Don't forget nap
    • Click sites (on going throughout day)
    • start on bathroom & Menu plan
    EVE
    • typing tutor
    • Let the boys out for a run
    • Evening routine

Where is DNMS today? Is she on holiday and net less?

    Blessings

    E
PS. Am loving my new blinds...think I might save and get them for the kitchen and bedroom .Currently they have nothing.....why did I not get them years ago? They are just simple bamboo variety with asian shalwar chemise fabric drapes on top but so much easier than curtains when you have a lot of stuff in front of the window :)

    Good morning, folk!

Happy easter from Uganda! Im starting to settle in. My new job seems like it will be super challenging but great for my development and the work is really inspiring.

I'm staying at a friends house at the moment, taking care of her kitten (aww!) while she's out of town. I'll move into a longer term shared house on Tuesday which will be closer to the office. I'm actually really looking forward to that so I can start putting down some roots.

For those of you that have been following my drama for a bit, things with O are still pretty tough and I miss him terribly. A girl that we've known for several years and I know has liked in the past is in London at the moment and I think staying in our flat (she has one of those things on facebook that tells you where she is all the time). I dont think they're sleeping together but it still makes me sad.

Anyway, what do I have planned for today:
    • spend a few hours working - we have some major doccuments due over the next week or two
    • organize emails a bit
    • tidy house a bit
    • keep reading history book
    • spend some quality kitten time!
    • either have a NSD staying in (bought groceries yesterday) or go out in the evening if someone invites me (low spend day)
    • if I go out, get my phone sorted
    Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000
:DDebt free as of 1 October, 2010:D

    Morning everyone

    Sun is shining again :j

Today is DD2's bday so have all the family coming for a bbq later been in the kitchen preparing stuff as DD's friends stayed over last night and I am surplus to requirements at the mo.

    Today I will:
    washing out to line dry
    check banking
    check emails
try not to spend any more money- spent a fortune already on food etc for bbq
talked OH into taking DS into uni and to the orthodontist saving me busfares(usually buy him a pass but didn't this week and it's cost me a fortune)

Can't think of much else for today as I will be spending most of it with my DD and the family.

Hope you all have a lovely Friday.
