    Morning all,

Another glorious day here :jnot sure what we are up to yet, but will think of something to do.

Got my car back from the garage yesterday with a new radiator £160 :(, but the radio OH gave me to sell is up to £82 on Ebay, fingers crossed it will at least match it :T

Made a banoffee pie yesterday, and its very nice too, loads left for tonight, dinner will be a prawn salad with new pots, so nice and easy.

Need to hoover round, and hang the wash up, I potted on a load of my veg plants yesterday, and had a good tidy in the garden.

Have lovely bank holibobs all xx

    Morning all!

More glorious sunshine here today, yippee! Got a call from an old school friend yesterday eve, so we're meeting up and taking all our broods to the beach today, should be great fun :)

Got my fourth raised veg bed yesterday, with the aid of ds, so want to get them all together now and planted up, really excited about it! And dd3 has decided to take on the job of watering them :) Kids were all really good yesterday, they all did loads of chores and I arrived home from work to a very tidy house (for us!) and garden! Work was silly busy yesterday - we are only closed for one day, but you'd think that armageddon was about to strike the way people were buying! If anyone is heading for the shops today, be prepared for crowds and queues, and spare a thought for the frazzled staff! I did giggle yesterday though, I was propositioned by the world's oldest man, apparently he has his own house, though sadly he didn't have his own teeth! I'm such a lucky duck!

Today I've unloaded and loaded the dw with the few bits that were in the sink, would have S&S but all the cloths have vanished, will have to go on a hunt in a bit! Dough in BM for rolls, kids just can't get enough of them at the mo, and it makes a dead easy lunch! I'm doing them with oats and as soft rolls, and they are lovely, I'm just having some toast from one of the oaty loaves I made yesterday, the oats have made it so soft that even dd3 (my lover of the cheapest poss bread cos it's all air and can be eaten fast at school lunchtimes, as it doesn't need chewing) has decided that she prefers it to shop stuff! I baked the loaves off in the oven, in the freebie Lurpak tins, so easier to control the crust than in the bm!

Think washing is almost up to day, shock horror! Will get the kids to have a look in their rooms for stuff they need to get washed, though they have done most of theirs! Really must finish pile of paperwork in my room today, and remove the girls stuff back to their rooms now they have finished decorating! Will do glossing for them once they're back at school, easier without anyone about.

Looking forward to a few days off now, going to really enjoy it! Hope everyone has a good day xxx

I popped to Tesco yesterday after work only to see if they had a dress, after circling car park 3 times I managed to find a big enough space (was in the minibus so need 2 spaces really!). The store was heaving, complete madness! It was a glorious day and I have no idea why people were searching for longer dated bread etc when the shops are only closed on Sun! It's just one day!!

OS update - WM is on with 2nd load (bedding) as the first load is almost dry already :) it's still a bit cloudy here but the odd bit of sunshine and a nice breeze. Also need to put BM on later as have no bread at all.

 Just had another roofer here, who looked at it from across the road and then said we wouldn't touch one of these roofs mrs, look at them all, a patchwork nightmare............doesn't anyone want to work these days????

Moan over, except to ask who has stolen the sun? Its very dull here, and I need to finish digging over the flower beds as I have plants to rehome into them! Oh well, off to make a batch of bolognese then will hang out the washing, have a good day!

    Morning all,
I have been MIA all week, life just got a bit hectic, and not managed to catch up completely,so I'll just wish Sunnyday and Lamewolf belated birthday greetings, hugs to anyone who needs one,and kind thoughts to you all.

Well done Julie on the weight loss-I'm being very careful the next two weeks as we are going to a wedding and I want to be able to do up my dress.
Nice to see you Halight, you sound very busy.

My DN eventually had her overdue baby on Tuesday,he was in the neonatal unit for a bit but is now on the ward,so they may be home this weekend. He is gorgeous, might pop along and see them today.
DB and little DN came on Wednesday-of course the baking stuff had to come out :rotfl:

Yesterday me and a neighbour hired a petrol hedge trimmer that lets you reach higher up.I had it first and did some bits, but it was so heavy I couldnt do all I wanted, and it kept cutting out and was really difficult to start.DS popped home and had a go,but said it didnt seem right, managed a bit more though, then I handed it over to my neighbour.Again she did a bit and then it cut out again,so she rang the shop and they said they would send someone today to have a look.My shoulders are aching today though :o
DH fancies a BBQ tomorrow, and ask some friends over so we'll prob tidy the garden today.
    JackieG-hope your headache eases soon.
    Have a lovely weekend x

    Morning All

Bit of a lie-in today. We went out last night and got home at 1.45am which is very late for us. Had a good night though and thankfully I do not have a sore head this morning. Taking it easy today as I think I have overdone it a bit lately and feeling rather achy. Will have to get some fish today - no meat on Good Friday, will make fishcakes for tea.

Have a great day whatever your plans.

Good morning chums, well bright and sunny here at the moment and forecast is good.Have been pottering about this morning and have just peeled and blanched a kilo of carrots for the freezer.I am going to make some cakes this morning and some of twinks hobnobs for the grandchildren as they seem to be eating their Mum out of house and home at the moment so the cake tins need filling up. Just done a revised freezer list and it is going down but very slowly so I still have at least a fornights food in there if not more.So no shopping for me over the holiday.I bet my local mr t's is heaving at the moment ,no fun shopping when its like that and there's nothing I need that can't wait until the children go back to school next week.I much prefer shopping when its quieter.I hope everyone has a good holiday week-end and gets a good dollop of the sunshine that we seem to be getting for a change.
Take care all I'm off to put the oven on
    Cheers JackieO xx

Hi all, DD4 arrived this morning with DGS2 and ordered me outside to help tidy up front of house....she is very bossy sometimes but also very good at tucking in and helping so can't really complain, she knows I need to be ordered around sometimes....she has gone to have lunch with a friend but will be back as they are having dinner here and she plans on doing more clearing up and potting up some wild flowers I have that she wants in her own garden.

Has been overcast and rather cool here, but the sun is coming out just now, will enjoy spending some time in the garden, need to transplant some more tomatoes and sow some more seeds too, we seem to have so many....

Fish with wedges, baked beans and peas, maybe some spinach for dinner, there is chocolate cake and rhubarb cake for pudding so nothing strenous for me to do, am frantically trying to fill washing machine so that I can do a wash, must hunt last spare room to see if I can find anything that could do with a wash. DW just finished as not enough to do last night.

Have put my jacket to one side as school is having a summer fair end of May so going to get that done first....have 3 baby jackets ready and a summer top on needles....not sure what size it will turn out as think the yarn I am using is a bit thicker than pattern says....doesn't matter when it is for sale.

Looking forward to visit from youngest Aussie relative and her parents while they are on holiday in Scotland, where her mother is from, just a quick one day one to let her know that Scotland is not her only celtic heritage....her great great grandmother was born here in 1867. She is seven months old so is, of course, very interested in all this family history!

Meeting DS2 at airport, he is home for a week and is going to put up pen and do some fencing in preparation for our adoption of his dog when DD3 goes to Oz...he may not know this yet but it will happen or Mossy will have to go back to London in his suitcase....

Hope that everybody has a lovely holiday, we are planning on chilling ( do we really do anything else these days??) we will have DD4, DS2 and DGS2 for dinner on Sunday which will be nice, might go for a swim one of the days as well, am really keen to get some practice in to build up my stamina as enjoy.

Hugs to all in need or want of one

    Marie
