Unbelievably incompetent surveyor!

I don't think I'd believe this saga if it was on a soap opera.....
Surveyor was supposed to carry out valuation survey on our prospective purchase on 16th November but hadn't realised he needed to drive an additional 20 miles to collect (and then return) keys and hadn't enough time to attempt our survey.
Survey date re-arranged to 21st November.
Survey apparently completed and mortgage offer duly arrived. :T Fortunately the solicitor noted that the property address was incorrect and asked mortgage company to send revised offer.
It has now transpired that the surveyor actually completed his survey on the wrong property!!!!! I have been informed that the owners/tenants let him in to the property (our prospective purchase is new build and empty!)
Now the survey is booked in again for next Tuesday.
Mortgage offer is invalid until surveyor manages to get it right and we're rapidly running out of time if we want to meet our moving in target of 19th December!
The customer feedback form from the surveyor's office is going to be such fun to fill in....

That's a pretty special surveyor you've got there!
Hopefully he'll be looking to do his job extra carefully when he finally reaches the correct destination.
I can't believe the wrong people lett him into their house?! :rotfl:
If everything else is done, which looks hopeful from your sig, I'm sure everything will be fine for the 19th. No-one is ever left with time to spare on their target date!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Absolutely unbelievable:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Unbelievable - I agree with Doozergirl - bet he'll try to do a reasonable job when he finally gets to the property, if he's still got a job that is.0

Why should he need the keys? - I once had a so called surveyor arrive when the owners were out and complete the survey by peering through the windows !Light blue touchpaper and stand well back !0
