Flash player wont run

a lot of web sites are telling me to update my flash player. I have done this countless times and i get an indication that it has been downloaded successfully but it isn't running. I keep getting the request to update.
Any Ideas?

Yes. Its been happening for over a week now. My wee girl is getting mad with me.

I'm having the same problem , but thought it might be something i'd done as i've had a few viruses and think i've beggared my lappy up . Maybe not then :undecided
