Bank Charge Reclaim - Lloyds TSB

Hi I was just wondering with regards to reclaiming bank charges. I know some people seem to be successful claiming when using the hardship rules.

I was just wondering if this would apply if I was going through hardship at the time that the charges were made. The bank has had about £800 off me in charges within the space of a year give or take a month.

However when I tried to reclaim in the past my first attempt resulted in me getting a few letters back stating that they were not going to refund as the reasons staed did not apply.

The second time I tried to claim, the case got put on hold, I then wrote to them further stating that I was in hardship and they sent me a pack in the post on how to budget etc.

Any help or suggestions on this would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have a read of the MSE article. :)

Unless you are currently in financial hardship and the charges incurred were within about the last 6 months, replies from others suggest next to no chance of a refund.

Even if you are currently in financial hardship and the charges are recent, the bank is under no obligation to refund even 1p of the charges amount.
