4p Intrest charge = Black marks (visa)

in Credit cards
Hi there,
This is my first post here so hi everyone!
Ok so the other day I found a letter from my bank in my back garden ( dated 22nd march) so I open it to find ' you have failed to make a minimum payment' on a balance of £0.04!
So I ring the minefield of recorded messages & wait a good 20mins on the phone for someone to explain & eventually I find out that the 4p interest charge had been added just after I had cleared the outstanding balance (which I do monthly) & not only that but they had recorded 2 failure to make payments on my credit score! Argh!
I was so mad, I do my very best to ensure there is nothing outstanding on my credit cards :AI tried to contact my 'personal finance manager' but to no avail. I am concidering taking a large ammount of savings & other monies elsewhere!!
My main question is.... how can I get these black marks against my name removed?? I do not think that this is the appropriate response for me not paying a 4p interest charge which was slapped on after I had cleared my debt. I feel like I have been setup to fail by visa & Im not happy at all!
Help me
thanks for reading

It's called "trailing interest" and is probably correct. That's not to say that your bank has reacted sensibly in the matter. Their system should be programmed to ignore trivial amounts like this. Good luck! Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

First up it's got absolutely nothing to do with Visa, your dispute is with your card issuer. I doubt very much if your 'personal finance manager' will have much influence over your credit card charges, in most financial institutions credit cards are run as a separate part of the business. You need to call the customer services number (or the cheaper/free equivalent from saynoto0870) on your credit card statement and explain to them politely what has happened and ask what can be done to rectify the situation.0

What?? Two replies and no mention is made of this? Trailing interest is most likely, but set up to fail by Visa? Set up to fail by the postman methinks0 -

Unfortunately they are no allowed to do that - the money has to "accounted" for !
Years ago I received an electricity bill for 3d (old pence) - less than the cost of the stamp on the envelope.0
