Home Delivery Network

I really don't know why Amazon uses these cowboys.
I preordered a game from Amazon before they released the due date. I am going away tomorrow to family so when they put the release date as today, I thought phew I will get it before I go and can play it there.
Then I saw it was being delivered by Home Delivery Network. As soon as I saw this I knew there would be a problem and guess what there was.
They had a delivery date of on or before 21st April. I phoned them just now and they said there was a problem and they couldn't get it out today. I said well I am leaving at 10am tomorrow morning so you will have to get it to me before then.
Turns out they are closed tomorrow so they will get it to me for Tuesday (which is already 4 days past the release date. To the person in the other thread who said just get it online it will be easier, its not.).
I told them that as I am away for 2 weeks what will happen is they will try and deliver 3 times and then said it back to amazon. She said they won't as she will put a note on the system saying that we are away. I can bet any money that we will have 3 "you were out" cards through our letter box with the last one saying it has gone back to sender.

Praise to Amazon. I called up to complain about Home Delivery Network. If enough people complain maybe they will stop using them.
They are going to try to get another copy out to me on Saturday. I am going to a relatives house near the airport and leave there at 10am. It is a 1pm delivery but there is more chance of us getting it before going than Home Delivery Network getting the original copy to me. Also it is now in my relatives name so she can still get it if we miss it on Saturday0
