I began to sort out my finances last month and found this site brilliant. Then I realised I had space on my credit card and went shopping and bought food, paid some bills and got a bike to cycle to work to save money on the bus. Now I may as well have not paid off what I did last month and i'm so fed up with myself for being a dopey cow. I'm finding it so hard to sort myself out. Help.................

Stick that card into water and in the freezer.
At least you won't do that again. :rotfl:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Just look at it as a small glitch. We all have times like this. Why not cut your cc up so that the temptation is not there. Otherwise just use the experience as a learning experience and try not to let it happen again.100 Day Pot £13

cutting the card up is better, freezing it doesnt really work as a jug of boiling water thaws it out quickly enough0

I've cut mine up too!! Best thing you can do. That way they can't tempt you!!
Anyway, at least the bike was a good buy as it's a money-saving measure and good for the health too ... even if it did go on the card!!0 -
Cutting it up is the only way. Take away the temptation

Cut it up then burn it, that way you can't piece it back together to use online.Barclaycard 3800

Another cutter upper here, although - I was sat today thinking 'Oh, I'd like to go shopping - but I can't because I've cut up all my cards and have no cash'. I spent most of the day thinking that was a bad thing .... but now I'm still wearing my perfectly good old clothes and realising I've saved myself quite a lot of money today!

Do you need it? Can you afford it?
Sound familiar?
