Couple of weeks now I bought one of their spinach & pasta salads. On the way to work it leaked oil into my rucksack, it was all over it and smelling so I ended up putting it in the washing machine. No real harm done.
Today I bought another one. Put it in the bag, put my newspaper in the bag, got to work and the newspaper was covered in oil. OK, it's only the paper - no big deal. Took salad downstairs to fridge, went into toilets to get changed and then noticed my top was covered in the oil! Washed it in the sink and put it on the radiator to dry, but the stains have not come out.
Now, the top isn't worth much (I only wear it for cycling) and I can possibly get the stains out with Vanish or whatever, but it's just so annoying!
Do you think it is worth writing to them and asking them if they can get decent lids on them? After the first incident I did actually put a small carrier bag in my rucksack in case I got one again, but of course I forgot to use it in my haste to pack the bag and stop holding up the queue.

No, I take Freda's Fruit Salad in a sealable box, no leaks0

It can't hurt to send their customer services department an e-mail telling them of the problems you've experienced, it may well be the case that other's have experienced the same problem, and the issue of faulty packaging needs flagging up - if they don't know, they can't address the matter.0

Yes, I can't be the only one! I will compose something later.0

Definitely send a letter, they are pretty good at giving the odd £5 or £10 voucher in compensation if you have been unhappy with a service

They MAY offer you some compensation, but don't write to them expecting it.
Just write them a friendly letter explaining what has happened, and say that you hope they are able to remedy the problem in the future, as you would like to continue to buy the product. Leave it at that, but make sure they have your contact details so they can send you the standard form letter and any vouchers they may decide to offer you.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0
