Passport Progress Query - No Barcode

In a rush, I stupidly did not take down the barcode on the top of the passport renewal application form I sent off a couple weeks ago. I received my supporting document yesterday through the post from them. How can I check the progress of my passport as I now need it asap. :eek:

I noticed from their website they say that they email progress but I have had nothing from them. Also how do they send passports? royal mail or courier?

Mixture of Royal Mail and courier - I think it depends on the area it's going to.

May depend on your postcode.
High risk areas might be couriered mine was first class post (funnily enough my old passport was returned 2nd class and both arrived the same day).

Don't worry....You got the supporting evidence back. You should receive the passport after the Easter Bank hols. They do turn them around pretty quickly.

Try this number and speak to an advisor 0300 222 0000. I use saynoto0870.com and get my numbers from there. Otherwise pretty expensive calling 0870 and 0845 numbers.

If you have your old cancelled passport returned then your new passport should be delivered soon. It comes either by courier or disguised mail depending on your postcode. They are sent out from a central printing point

Thanks for all your replies. After receiving the supporting document on the wednesday, received my passport through the door saturday, no signature required and it wasn't royal mail.
