what a
I am
These school holidays have fried my brain! I keep thinking it's Friday as I had chub club today as they changed weigh-in dates because of the "bonk hols", when it's usually a Friday!!!
I will crawl back under my rock (but need to text OH not to bother buying the chuffing paper now)0 -
Missed this except for the last day as it was not added to the Dailies top post. It would be helpful that if pcl is away someone else could take over, but I don't want to sound ungrateful as I am very grateful for all the work people put in this forum! However, I am now thinking that entering comps by end date is unreliable as it is not the first time I have missed good dailies.0

I cannot get this to work at all. I have tried in Firefox and IE. After I hit submit, nothing happens. Even tried the suggestion above clicking submit entry, but that then blanks out all the numbers.
Tried logging out, logging back in no success :mad:The best things in life are free.....0 -

The problem with that is the only person who can update the first post is pcl or a BG and as pcl is on holiday she can't do it and I believe the BG's are quite reluctant to 'tamper with' other peoples threads, unless strictly necessary, and as the links have been added to the end of the thread it's probably not classed as necessary as they're there for people to find if they want to check?
It's easy to keep up as they're posted to the end if you thank as you go as you just find the last post you thanked and open all the links from there, sometimes it's easier than going to the first post as pcl might not have had chance to update those posts even if she's around, as life can get in the way sometimes.
In the old daily thread I'd taken the 3rd post so I could update with new links when pcl was away, but the posts built up too quickly on the new one for me to be able to grab that post.0 -

I don't think theres any perfect way for entering comps here, things will get missed occasionally and comps get moved early etc. but for a free forum, staffed (posters) by volunteers its remarkably well run and I definitely find and enter more comps than I ever would be able to if I had to find the comps and answer the questions on my own.
If you were paying for a service it would be understandable getting annoyed by a lapse in service, but in this case its not really!
Thanks for all the hard work on this thread, good luck all!:beer:0 -

Ah right, I get it why it's not easy for someone to take over. As I said, I am grateful for everyone's efforts. The forum is so well organised you sort of start to rely on it, and I was just upset to miss such a great chance of winning a life changing amount of money.
And a service you have to pay for on Money Savings Experts? Unlikely!0 -

I enter by end date most of the time, but always scan through the first couple of pages of in case there is something like this as you will miss it by end date. I then subscribe to the thread so I get an email when a new post is added, so I don't forget to enter each day.:hello:0
