Places to eat in Southampton?

We're going down to the south coast for three days and will be basing ourselves in Southampton and do day trips from there to the surrounding area. After some long walks and hopefully some time spent on a beach, we'll be hungry by the time we return to our hotel at sunset. Any good (and cheap) restaurants in Southampton? Thanks.
