IVA Completed- I THINK
Options
Just been on the phone to my IVA company(kingsgate Insolvency) as i started my IVA in april 2006, so knew march 2011 was my final payment, so was expecting to hear about a final review, which i have not heard anything about yet, and april 15 came around(my usual payment date), so i paid that payment as i did not want a ticking off for not paying so late in the game, so i wanted to querry whether i needed to keep on making payments, or when would a review be done, to be told that all payments have been made, to cancel standing order, and they could see the extra payment on there screen, and as soon as it hits there account they would send me a cheque out as a refund, and all paperwork is sitting with the i.p for signoff on 9th may which is when they will send my certificate of completion out, so looks like i dont get a final review and everything fingers crossed has finished:T:j

Well done on completing!!
We complete on 5 Oct, so happy and we have that in writing from the IP! No missed payments and also no final review as we did a deal in year 3 and also have no assets to sell to release money.
We've already set up a savings account ready for the £612 to go into every month so we can create a little nest egg if we ever fall on hard times again - - oh and to clear the one small remaining debt we have!!
Well done, it must feel so good to have come to the end, and know you are getting a small refund!Cabot (0%) left to pay £2455 let the overpayments commence!0 -
Had a scare this morning, as previously stated iva finished last monday, on the door mat this morning was letter from a creditor demanding £1200:eek:, so straight onto phone to talk to iva company, who then assured me that this debt has been included in my iva, and it is just a annual statement that they send out and not to worry about it, also confirmed my iva is complete, and i should recieve completion certificate in next couple of weeks or so, happy days:jTake every day as it comes!!0

I bet that was a nasty shock!
I think something has changed recently as we seem to get a lot of letters with current balances but nothing demanding money.
Your creditors should of written the rest of anyways!

yes i have had statements about my other debts but not directly from them, from a company called max debt recovery or something like that, this is the only 1 that came directly from the creditor, and it specifically says on it, minimum payment of £1200 to reach us by 03 june, but thinking about it i have had these statements once a year saying the same thing, and i have questioned it before, but iva company have assured me it is included, and to be fair it must be, as i have not paid a ppayment to this company for over 5 years so i think i would have had more than a letter a year asking for payment if it was not included by nowTake every day as it comes!!0 -
Well done on finishing,Your IP looks to have been on the ball unlike mine who've just dropped the bombshell on me 2 months from the end that theres a shortfall of the penny in the £ that i agreed..2 months from the end...Still waiting for the paperwork to come through for this and then going to see advice elsewhere, its obvious that they've mis-managed this and there still going to try & take their full fees (Not if I have my way)"I took her to a supermarket,I don't know why but I had to start it somewhere" :cool:0
