Help with car insurance

Hi all, trying to find car insurance and have a question I hope someone can answer.

Previously with Swiftcover, who have been horrendous I might add, and had an accident which I was told wasn't my fault then was my fault, and the other car had been written off, blah, blah, balh.... So I decided to pay off the claim and was told that it would be like the accident never happened, and my NCD would revert back to what it was b4vthe accident. However, what do I declare when answer the 'had any accidents' question????:(

I am very confused and don't really believe anything Swiftcover tells me so I am hoping someone here will no the answer, please?

Thank you for listening to my rant, any help greatly appreciated.

Caroline

You need to declare the accident.

It maybe "as you were" for premuim/NCD purposes, but forms specifically ask about accidents/claims/incidents.

Yes, you will be listed on the insurance database as being involved. If you don't declare your accident to a new insurer they will still take your money but should you have a crash they won't pay out as they will know you have lied so the insurance is void.

By being honest you may get some very high quotes and staying with swiftcover may prove cheaper, at least they know all about you and your accident.

You do have to declare the claim as already posted.

But did you pay for both your own repairs AND the third party's write off out of your own money? Only if you did that would your NCD be reinstated.
