What are these metal "studs"?

Just a quick one...

Can someone tell me what these stud type things are?
They look like they've been punched straight through the sheet metal to secure a hasp and staple lock to a metal locker.

Did a search under various terms but my googling skills appear to be lacking today.

I've found a metal hole punch tool but not the stud things.

Cheers!

Easily removed by drilling out using a drill bit of the same diameter as the rivet.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

    Thanks all!

I had searched rivets and saw them, didn't realise they look totally different when in place! :o

They come in steel too, but are a little harder to drill out.

Only after the last tree has been cut down. Only after the last fish has been caught. Only after the last river has been poisoned. Only then will you realize that money cannot be eaten.
