in Credit cards
Currently have 3 credit cards
* Barclaycard platnium (Limit : £1550) -
* Natwest Platnium (Limit : £1045)
* Natwest Classic (Limit :£905)
In August all the balances will be £0.00.
However i want to make a purchase to the tune of £1200.00 in September.
Ideally i want a 0% deal, as i only want to pay £50 a month for as long as possible - then card tart when the deal runs out.
1) will any of these providers offer me a 0% purchase deal for exsisting customers, or is it just BT's?
2) Assuming i am only offered a 0% BT deal, should i just buy the purchase on Barclaycard or both natwest, and BT to the card to which is offering me 0% BT. - assuming i BT before the statement on the puschase card i wont incur any interest ?
Is this right ?

Only way to know is to ask either providers if they can extend a 0% purchase or BT deal.0

Do all of those have something on at the moment?
How much do you earn, how old are these cards?
Just checking whether you would be able to get new card, such as M&S with 15 mth 0% on purchases...
I never got purchases offer from NatWest or Barclaycard, always just BTs.
And you will pay 3% for the BT. Depends how long the BT will be for to be able to advise whether the charge will be worth it.. But at one point or another you will have to open another card... relying on 2 providers to give you 0% BT indefinitely (or for 2 yrs) and at the right time is stretching it..0 -
I wouldn't have thought those cards would offer a 0% purchases offer. They may indeed offer a 0% balance transfer offer as an existing customer, you'd have to call them and ask.
I would be inclined to look at an MBNA or M&S card for purchases, as they have long purchase introductury offers.
MBNA also offer a Super Balance Transfer option which would allow you to take money, directly into your current account, at 0% for 18 months on their Visa Platinum card. There is a 4% fee for this, however.
If I were in your position, I would err on the side of the MBNA Platinum Visa SBT option, as you would then be able to withdraw the cash from your bank account and use the fact you're paying by cash, not credit card, as a way to try and barter the price down (depending on the viability of this, of course. Might not be feesable depending on the type of purchase you're making).
Good luck!Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
