if this is a council property....surely they provide flooring/floor covering for all of their properties? Im sure they wouldnt expect you to walk on bare floorboards. There may not be a choice, it may not be what you would want/choose to have, but at least its something?
It took years to save up to put carpets in our council property, now the only floorboards we have are the ones we have chosen to have. We spent years without any... my daughter is 10 and when she came home as a newborn, we had one room with a carpet and no central heating!!
Coucils provide the minimum legally required and nothing more, it is like trying to get blood from a stone to ask for anything not on their list! The way it should be I suppose, would be handy if the workers did the legally required to a good standard, but that's a different thread...
If it was wooden flooring your daughter had down, then it should just go back down, the way it came up. The walls wouldn't change because of what they do to the floor and it is the walls that determine the shape of the floor!!! If the workers took it up in a way that made it unusable, then they should replace it. Try writing to your local MP, ours was a great help.:xmastree:0
